School. I know, even the word brings misery. Idiotic boys running around the place, bashing into walls and what-not. That group of flawless popular girls who think its their duty to make other people feel like complete dorks. Not that I'm disagreeing, I am a total dork! But they don't have to rub it in our faces and make it out to be a bad thing. Now, some people may think they know what a true dork is, but 99.9% of the time they're wrong. For one, DORKS DO HAVE FRIENDS. We aren't, like, allergic to friendship! I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have my bestfriends. Their names are Sasha and Matt. We've been friends for as long as I can remember! Not to mention they are the only reason I have a social life. They drag me to every party they hear about, only to have me swiftly escape and hide in a closet for the rest of the night. So you're probably wondering, what makes me a dork? I mean I'm pretty normal. I have friends and a social life! Well, if you went to my school you'd understand. Michelle Anderson. Or as my friends and like to call her 'MichEVIL AnderSLUT'. I never agreed with the nickname though, I thought it was below me. My parents have always taught me to never sink to a mean person's level... but that doesn't stop me from laughing when my friends say something hilariously rude about her. Hey don't look at me like like that! We have a good reason! Michelle Anderson is the equivalent of the devil on heels. She runs the school by flipping her hair and batting her eyelashes. She thinks that if you don't agree with her, then your a dork, thus earning my title. I have never said one rude thing to her but still get called a dork because I don't cover myself in make-up and wear mini, mini skirts to school. I don't know why people say that they wish they could go back to school. It's such hard work just to blend in and NOT stand out, I wouldn't be able to do it a second time.

Status The Game - An Epic Novel - "Stay Strong! Stay Loyal!" How important is our image in life? Our status amongst our peers? Our prestige within a community, job, family? Social media? Imagine playing an on-line game where you could make money, big money and it’s all based on your popularity. How far would you go to win? Could you lie about a friend on Facebook? Could you spread rumors that weren’t true on Twitter? Could you tell intimate truths entrusted to you that nobody was supposed to know? What if the on-line game allowed you to increase your status by making another person look bad, could you do it? Bob Brooks enters Madison High School as an inexperienced teacher. He pitches using the hottest on-line game on the internet to reach a generation of students that has grown up on computers and social media. Principle Reed loves the idea, maybe a little too much, and hires him to “make a difference.” Brooks himself has ulterior motives and predicts Status will make him independently wealthy within five years due to the number of student followers he will accumulate. Unfortunately, this plan is not so easy to fulfill since most of the students at Madison have already mastered the game. Bob Brooks uncovers that Status is not just an on-line game, but a dangerous world without rules. Players use social media to instantaneously spread vicious rumors in order to destroy their competition’s image and they will stop at nothing to win points and increase their status. Everyone is suspect in this thrilling adventure of social battles that pit brains versus brawn and haves versus have nots. Find out who wins! Oh and by the way, obtaining enough status might just make you the next big star of the Internet. With fame and fortune just a rumor away, who wouldn't want to play..."Status"
