Loveless_Romantic_
Truthfully, it never bothered me when I saw a fellow female crying over a boyfriend leaving or cheating on her.
It never captured my attention.
Women are depicted as someone that can be easily broken and strung around. They are seen as the weaker sex that can only cry and speak of romance.
I was never one of them.
Well, until I started falling for a boy I had known since birth.
Having a boy for a friend has its perks, but also its downfalls, too.
1) You're casually isolated by other girls.
It is frowned upon to be closer with the opposite sex.
2) Parents casually mention jokes about you marrying that person, because, you know, obviously there isn't the slightest chance that you like a person platonically, right?
3) At some point, both of you do fall for one another, but sometimes it is untimely and a hassle.
...Or you just absolutely miss your chance.
Of course, in the over romanticized version I can freely admit I found my one and only Prince Charming.
But in the real world, I just found someone I can be in the same room with for hours and not kill them by accident or on purpose.
Seems promising, right?
