You turned around from my thoughts, squatting down do the boys height. Then gave him a sweet smile. "Where's the cat?" You ask gently. The boy pointed to the tree. In a flash, you were up the tree, holding the cat. "There there kitty, you're safe now..." You said, patting it's little head affectionately. You then jumped from the tree, returning the cat to the 5 year old boy, "Here you go..." You said, passing it into his arms and patting his head. "Thanks so much!" he said, relief present on his face as he held the young kitten. "Not a problem." You replied, before turning away and leaving. "Woah... When I'm older... I wanna be like her! I wanna help people!" the boy exclaimed to the kitten, petting it affectionately. And there began his journey to become a firefighter, however, this is a story for another time...
