Grian pressed a button. That's how the shenanigans started. Then he has to learn how to deal with the consequences, and those consequences come in the form of child hermits. Thankfully he's not alone, but he is in a lot of trouble, and he needs to figure out a plan to bring them back to human form, while simultaneously dealing with kids along with the other 7 adult hermits. Looking back on it, Jimmy blames the garden for everything that's happened. After all, that's where he found the box, which led to Deepfrost, which led to this whole spiral of backsliding further and further away from the warmth of life. It had all started simply enough- with a dungeon, and with a goal- and had, over time, meandered into a world of beasts and bosses and dangers that Jimmy never had fully been able to grasp until it was too late, until he learned what Deepfrost REALLY was. You don't need to know anything about either of these to enjoy this story. If you don't want spoilers for the level design of Decked Out 2 or the layout of Act 2 and some of the overarching lore of Inscryption, I would consider not reading this fic, or at least leaving it for later :]

Xelqua (or Grian to the hermits) isn't sure what he is. He's always hidden from Minecraftia, hidden behind various masks and hoods. If the full truth about the mysterious prime admin were to be revealed the entire world would face catastrophic consequences. As the watchers rise to prevail over the admins, and Minecraftia is thrown into dark turmoil, Grian will have to make a choice. A choice that could destroy the entire world along with all his friends. The Higher Powers are Grian's only chance to save Minecraftia. Only to find their descendants, Grian will have to journey through ancient servers with his fellow hermits and keep his identity secret. Truths are revealed. Promises are broken. And a web of lies threatens to be destroyed forever. "Did I have a choice?" Xornoth has been defeated and trapped in a crystal, and Scott is afraid of letting it out of his sight. This may have some consequences though, as there is ice following Scott everywhere he goes ever since he made a deal with destiny to get the beloved diamond frostwalker boots. I think there will be triggering stuff like panic attacks, although I'm not sure. The image in the middle was found on Google, and the image on the top right was made by @Kitomine_ on Twitter, go check them out :D
