The start of this dystopian novel was written for a contest. Chapters 1 to 15 were submitted, please enjoy reading, and this will be added to and become a full novel. Alex has lived in The Institution all her life. It's the only place she's ever known. Nobody knows what's outside of its borders, and nobody really cares. Nobody's ever wondered if there's more to life than this for a very long time. But Alex is different. Alex is shown the truth of life beyond what she's been told. Together she bands with the resistors, people who have rejected the rigid systems of the institution, and broken free. They live outside the borders, outside the laws and rules. Outside the Procedure. They are free, and they are powerful. Perhaps they can help her escape and master her own power... Can she really find friends and familiarity outside everything she's ever known, or will she be lost like The Institution predicts?

Why be depressed when you can be stressed? Computer Science Major Shai Weiss is an international student praying to get through his first year of university without dying. Easier said than done, when followed by housing troubles, lack of money due to being cut off by his parents and the constant feeling of imposter syndrome. With endless deadlines set way too close to each other and an upcoming programming exam, Shai doesn't know what to do. Especially with his boss and landord looking for every opportunity to kick him out. Feeling sick and absolutely pathetic, how will he respond when confronted with a crime he didn't commit?
