When Cassian gets kicked out of his house for being transgender, he's kind of lost. Scratch that, definitely lost, and definitely struggling. His only living family member is his mother's distant cousin, who Cassian doesn't know much about. He knows the man was shunned from the family for being gay, and that he has a tattoo shop in town. But that's enough to get Cassian to go to him for help. Which ends up kind of being the best choice he's ever made, and kind of saves his life. [Written for the gen 3 contest]
