Bucky questions their gender identity and builds up the courage to tell the rest of the team. They decide to go by the name Jamie. Certain things happen that make them question themself, their confidence in being a gay nonbinary person. ~~ Bucky had been nonbinary since the 40's. It was a secret, hidden between Steve and them. Because being anything but a cisgender heterosexual would lead to the threat of a death penalty on the street. Then they were captured by H.Y.D.R.A, forced to forget everything about Jamie "Bucky" Barnes through the extensive and painful torture they ensued. So now that they were free, finding themself again proved to be a challenge. Coming out to the team, an even greater one. ~~ cover by "shop5" on Tumblr.

Meet Sandy Drue from New York and Kansas City. She has figured out some important secrets about life, and that's what this novel is about. It's literary fiction written for adults, but really, it's for everyone, and she shares everything... every secret you ever wanted to know, and some you didn't know you wanted to know. It was published last May, and the funny thing now is hearing how many teenage boys seem to enjoy it. How many grandmothers are reading it with their granddaughters... how many friends in their 40s and 50s say it mirrors their lives in Canada and Sweden and Russia and Spain. Sandy starts her book with this story in the dark-dungeon tree house from 2nd grade, when she has just started in a new school and new city... something that's never easy.
