Jimmy Jr. reached down and squeezed my butt. "What the hell, Jimmy??" I pushed him off of me. "What was that about?!" "I don't know," Jimmy spit, his adorable lisp a bit more accented now that he was bothered, "Tina always liked it when I touched her butt." "God damnit, Jimmy!" I shouted. "How many times have I told you I'm so tired of hearing about Tina? It's always 'Tina this' and 'Tina that!'" "I'm thorry, Y/N!" Jimmy shouted back at me. "I just-" "Just what, Jimmy Jr? You /just/ have feelings for her still, that's what. If you're still in love with that Tina Belcher then it's over, Jimmy Jr," my eyes welled with tears. "No, Y/n, please," Jimmy Jr dropped to his knees. "You're my world, JJ. You're my everything. I hope you know that. I'll talk to you later, Jimmy," I said, walking away. This was it. Our first fight.

Bob and Linda for a divorce. Linda started dating Jimmy Pesto causing the Pesto boys: Tina's crush and Gene and Louise's bestfriends to be their step brothers. The Belcher kids go across the street every other week to stay with Bob. With the bigger family and more kids, they get into alot more messes than before.

Something's been up with Tina lately. She has been distracted and Jimmy Jr swears it doesn't upset him that she isn't paying attention to him, because why would it right? They aren't really even friends.. just people who sometimes makeout. One day, while Jimmy Jr is going to the dance studio in his town, he finds something he could not believe. The Belcher family is all under one roof again for an entire summer. Fresh out of college Tina returns home in search of inspiration for her summer essay before she's off to Boston for grad school in the fall. Past friendships mend and old love rekindles causing the eldest Belcher to question why she came back and if she's willing to leave again. Meanwhile Louise has just graduated high school and is ready to let loose before being sent off to college. Navigating the precipice of adulthood the youngest Belcher is bound to stumble, especially when love has her tripping with every other step she takes forward. Gene might have moved out but he never truly left and now he's glad to be back with a not so new boyfriend in tow. Thinking that a summer back at home will help him finally pop the big question he drags his boyfriend back to where it all started for them. Except decisions of the heart can't be made so easily. Tons of Belcher sibling chaos and family fluff all in one.

As a novelist Tina has no problem creating the trashy love scenes that played out so often in her 'erotic friend fictions' of her teenage years. She knows the formula, the plot, the resolution - guy gets the girl and they ride off into the sunset. Or some variation thereof. Vampire gets the zombie, guy gets the trans girl, whatever - she was no sexuality snob. And romantic Rhode Island provides the perfect backdrop to inspire her scenery. However when she gets the call that she needs to come home she's reminded of why she isn't as happy to be single as she had previously convinced herself.
