Jackson Thomas, her previous partner in crime and best friend shows up in Port Charles and begins to date her sister, Kristina. They quickly grow attracted to each other and their relationship has intensified since. Jackson Thomas just served time for drug trafficking a few years before arriving in Port Charles. He has been working alongside his friend, Sam McCall's private investigator business since moving to town. She gives him a chance when he pleads to her that he just wants to make things right, since he doesn't have many people to turn to anymore.
