Arin had never really been particularly smart - she certainly wasn't stupid, just average really - and she was definitely naive. She'd also elected to walk after dark with both her headphones in, listening to loud music to drown out the night. That's really all she could remember. That and what came next. She started to cross the street when suddenly there was a flash of light, the rancid smell of burning rubber, and a sharp pain in her neck. Just like that, her life was over. Dark and Anti will show up a few chapters in, please bear with me here. I want to make this a quality story. AU in which Dark and Anti are the result of tests to unlock the full potential of the human brain.

Five years ago, Sakura Fields, a beautiful facility designed to be equal parts daycare and theme park, opened on the outskirts of Domino City. Tenth grader Yugi Muto is roped into a dare along with several of his classmates to break into the daycare and unearth its secrets. What they discover, however, is more horrifying than they could ever have imagined - not to mention the culprits behind the closing of the park are still hiding away in the depths of the building, and they aren't fond of visitors...

"It's no longer hand to hand combat. It's not longer who has the biggest guns. It's minds against minds, it's science against science, it's strategies and tactics. You're not going to survive this war if you aren't willing to sacrifice the few for the many." The Great General pushes his shoulders back and stands to his full height. "Are you with me, my son, or against me?" Seth Dane stands at a crossroad when he discovers how his father, a former biological geneticist turned politician and war hero, brought his home country though a terrible war. For several years after the conclusion of the overseas war there was peace, until a civil war erupted between the military and it's supporters and the opposing population. Faced with the horrifying truth surrounding the circumstances of his father's victories, Seth either stands with his father as he has for years, or embraces the truth.
