There is very little I remember from my childhood; glimpses of huge, ballrooms lit by crystal chandeliers high above me, a brush of warm fingers straightening my small tie, piles and piles of papers sprawled across a mahogany desk as an elderly man screamed in rage. My brother's warm hands covering my ears. Attempting to protect me. The only warm memory I have is the sweet smell of mochi that i found comfort in, snuggled into my Obachan's side at night. "Remember, mago...the Japanese have one rule, the utmost, absolute law, we abide by," i hummed, sleepily absorbing her words. "never question your family, your legacy. Your honour." And so I hadn't. The questions rose to my mind's surface, then evaporated at the heat of the memory, seared into the neurons. Until she came. Every forbidden argument, every unanswered question....suddenly voiced out loud. A new memory to print over the old one. A pair of burning, fiery, different coloured eyes. Why was she here? "It's all a game," her words I inhaled like the oxygen needed to live. "and i'm going to figure out the rules." And more importantly....what is happening?

Why do humans have different skin colours? Why are some people darker, some lighter, and why does such a visible difference exist in the first place? The answer begins long before modern societies, borders, religions, or racial categories. It begins in Africa, with the evolutionary history of Homo sapiens. As humans migrated across the world, they encountered different environments and different levels of ultraviolet radiation. Over countless generations, natural selection, genetics, migration, population history, and other factors helped shape the diversity of human pigmentation we see today. But somewhere along the way, a biological difference became something more. Skin colour became connected to identity, race, social status, beauty, discrimination, and ideas of superiority and inferiority. But was that hierarchy ever written into human biology? This book explores the science behind human skin colour, the evolutionary journey of our species, the genetics of human diversity, and the historical processes that transformed biological differences into social categories. It also asks a deeper question: If our differences are part of the same evolutionary story, why should one human being ever be considered worth more than another? Our skin colours may tell different stories about our ancestors. But they do not determine our worth. Biological variation came first. Human hierarchy came later.

Mara Jarrow has always believed her past was simple: a loving father, a dead mother, and a childhood she barely remembers. But after a series of disturbing episodes, her father sends her to St. Agnes Psychiatric Institute-a prestigious facility hidden far from the outside world. Mara expects treatment. Instead, she finds unanswered questions. Why do the staff seem to know her? Why are patients disappearing? Why do her memories contradict the records? And why does St. Agnes feel less like a hospital the longer she stays? As Mara begins searching for answers, she uncovers a mystery buried deep within the institution-one that reaches far beyond her diagnosis and into the forgotten pieces of her own childhood. At St Agnes, nothing is quite what it seems. And the truth about why Mara was brought there may be far more frightening than anything she could have imagined. 🚸This will be a mostly clean psychological mystery story and will include a completely new cast. There will be no nudity or 18+ bedroom acts incorporated, but there will be certain crimes to humanity and pictures incorporated into the chapters. I wanted to try something new. This is intended to be a mind bender... so come along on this journey with me!🚸

Why are we called Halfies? Well, it’s because we have only half the human DNA. Original isn’t it? The other half of our DNA can be made up of just about anything. Plastics........Metals.......Wood..........Random components.......... Even technological stuff for those of us who were lucky. They also altered our brains......our nerves no longer react the same way as humans. We don’t feel any pain. None at all. Because of the success of the C-NAs (Compound based Halfies) they decided that they’d experiment on animal DNA. Until then, it’d had been a taboo topic. A line in the sand which couldn’t be crossed no matter what. Animals are unpredictable : They are wild. But they’re humans. So of course they did it anyway. My Name is Felixia, and I am an ANA - a Fugitive Animal Based Halfie, fighting for my freedom from the segregation and prejudice of the Humans. I'm fighting for the Freedom of my people. This is a Fight to the Death. And I plan to win.

In the desert of Western Kemp, hidden within the towering cliffs, lies the legendary Temple of Akh-Neteru: a place of ancient wisdom and forbidden knowledge. Carved seamlessly into the mountainside, the temple houses the lost secrets of the afterlife, creation, and enlightenment. For centuries, it has remained a myth, a whispered legend among those who traverse the desolate sands. For a small group of initiates, the temple's sacred truths are within reach. Hathor, a celestial falcon halfbreed with a mysterious heritage. Gavriel, a devoted warrior torn by doubt. Oronos, a former acolyte from Atlantis. Nalini, a grieving widow desperate to resurrect her lost husband. Drawn together in pursuit of the ultimate knowledge of life and death, they uncover ancient texts and secrets long buried. In a reimagining of "The Divine Comedy," four souls journey through a metaphysical underworld and higher realms shaped by ancient myths and world religious traditions. As they navigate these realms, they uncover hidden truths about Atlantis, setting the stage for their awakening and the fate of the world. But the temple is not without its dangers. Forces beyond their comprehension are awakening, and as Atlantis teeters on the brink of collapse, they must decide how far they are willing to go for the knowledge they seek. Can the boundaries between life and death be undone, or is there a reason the afterlife must remain untouched? With the fate of Atlantis hanging in the balance, the four initiates must confront their deepest fears, their desires, and their devotion to the Truth. **** "The Guardians of Atlantis" is a science fantasy novella set in the Third World Universe created by author Sunny Ghauri. Though it runs parallel to the events in the novel "The Sky Gods of Atlantis," this story stands on its own as a tale of power, loss, and the eternal struggle between life and death.
