Aurora Horizon is a small town on the coastline of California. It's got gorgeous beaches, beautiful hikes with views meant to be photographed, and Aurielle Point, the gorgeous cliff named after the town founder's one true love. The current mayor-and most eligible bachelor-is Tim Bradford, who has lived here all his life, apart from when he served in the army. For years, Tim's friends have been trying to set him up with every new arrival to the town, but he has been focused completely on his job as the mayor and helping his mom at her market. Until Lucy Chen moves to Aurora Horizon, and his whole "I don't need love" act dies. Lucy Chen has lived in Los Angeles her whole life, working on her dreams of becoming a published author and opening a bookstore coffee shop. Lucy moves into the house in the town that she inherited a few years ago after her grandmother passed away and makes friends almost immediately when her car breaks down outside of the coffee shop, Horizon Brew and Co. Where she meets Angela Lopez and the mayor, Tim Bradford. Over time she works on her novel and makes more and more friends, who always make sure she knows Tim Bradford is single but she's too busy working on her novel and dream's to date... Or so she says. Because she slowly realises that she is in love with Tim, so much so that she realizes he's the main character in her story, just with a different name. The town is trying to set them up. Tim and Lucy keep denying it, but they both have feelings. Then Lucy's bookstore opening changes everything.

Tim had a daughter with Ashley, her name is Claudia Taylor Bradford. She's is almost twelve in the present parts! Tim has a son with Lucy, his name is Scotty Grey Bradford. Tim and Lucy love him deeply. Ashley returns in this story. Tim hates it, but he's glad to see his daughter Claudia. She had missed him. He had missed her. Tim had left them for Lucy, because they had been secretly hooking up! This will be covered later on in the story. Have fun reading!

They live in Los Angeles and Tim recently got divorced after his wife Isabel got addicted to drugs, cheated on him and wound up pregnant. Tim's one rule in life is to never do anything addictive, as his father was an abusive alcoholic growing up and he's forever traumatised. He's never drank, smoked, done drugs or gambled. His rule has been especially upkeeped after his divorce, refusing to drink, even if he's sad, because he doesn't want to be like his father or end up like Isabel. One day Angela gives him a new assignment, its long term and might last until retirement, he can get fired in an instant and the client is 2nd in line to a European throne and her current body guard is retiring. The client? Princess Lucy Chen of Aurelia.

6x6 break up, however weeks after the break up Tim gets deployed back to the army.. he leaves with out telling Lucy or anyone why..Lucy finds out she was pregnant after Tim leaves and assumes he was being selfish by leaving not knowing he had no choice..Tim returns after something awful happening.. how does he cope with severe PTSD and a new born he knew nothing about.?

This story is based on, if the LAPD went on a road trip vacation after the Chenford breakup and they were figuring out their relationship. Everyone in this story is who is currently in season 6/7 of The Rookie. Aaron Thorsen isn't as he transferred stations, and Tamara Collins isn't coming because she's in College and isn't apart of the LAPD job. Although they do appear from texts or calls. Credits to the writers, directors and everybody like that who produce 'The Rookie'. This story is based for 13-18 years of age. No graphic scenes.

What if The Rookie group was in high school? Lucy, Tamara, Celina, Jackson, Genny, and Angela are all Juniors (11th) in High School. The rest are all seniors (12th). Lucy has a really good relationship with her parents.

This story is about if Tim Bradford and Lucy Chen were neighbours throughout childhood, but Lucy moved away when she was 16 to Florida, before coming back to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of being a Police Officer with the LAPD at 22. On her first day, she thought she recognised someone, but couldn't piece it together. Until she learned his name when introduced to, Tim Bradford.
