Set after z=199. It was settled. They would work on the Perseus as fast as they could and then sail to unpetrify their friends and search for the missing materials for the rocket. However, that also meant that their group would have to part ways.

First impressions are everything. Senku should know as much but when Gen has an accident that causes him amnesia, a few harsh words are all he needs to make them both question what their relationship is supposed to be. This could have been some kind of exploration exercise on how perspective changes based on first impressions... but it ended being the whole Ishigami Village having fun at the expense of their chief.

Ukyo won't appear until we're at the second season.

Senku didn't know if he had done anything to provoke it, but lately he felt Gen wasn't looking at him the way he used to. In fact, he hardly ever did, almost as if he was avoiding him for some reason.

Sure, he should have seen it coming miles away from Ryusui's enthusiasm to revive this Sai guy, but he had more than enough motives to be reasonably distracted. Who are you?" Gen stares at him in disbelief, slowly straightening up from his previous position. "And why are you dressed like that?" Or AU where Senku revives Gen before Tsukasa.

Two times Gen pretends to be Senku's boyfriend and one time that Senku returns the favour.
