!A rewrite of my old book! Set after the Empty Grave. With a bit of show cannon, because I like that elaborates on Lucy's life before London. Lucy's sister is getting married. Lockwood and co just happen to have a case in the same town the same week as the wedding.

The Problem has mainly been contained to the U. K., but what happens when it's rumored to have spread to the U.S.? Lockwood and Co. are called in to investigate! Takes place after The Hollow Boy, so major spoilers if you haven't read that book yet.

When Lucy leaves Lockwood & Co. she tells herself that it is to keep Lockwood safe, to stay out of his life so he doesn't get hurt. She knows, though she may deny it, that when the two of them are together they always seem to hurt the other. Intentional or not. But what happens when there's a series of events that occur after Lockwood drunkenly calls her one night? And how he manages to seeming plague her every thoughts. How he seems to, haunt her. or The times Lucy thought of Lockwood before she eventually returned.

In the following months after Penelope/Marissa was killed, and the Fittes agency was handed to inspector Barnes, Lockwood and co received urgent messages from many clients. I was rereading book three, and honestly, I just don't think those kids get traumatised enough in Aickmere's.
