!A rewrite of my old book! Set after the Empty Grave. With a bit of show cannon, because I like that elaborates on Lucy's life before London. Lucy's sister is getting married. Lockwood and co just happen to have a case in the same town the same week as the wedding.

Eight months ago, Lucy walked away from Lockwood & Co.-from the danger, the ghosts, and, most of all, him. She told herself it was for the best. That she couldn't keep watching Lockwood throw himself into the fire, reckless and unbreaking. That leaving was the only way to save herself. But when he shows up at the quiet little book café where she works, asking-begging-her to come back, old wounds split open, old feelings resurface, and suddenly, the space between them feels dangerously thin. Because everyone knew they were in love. Except them. But nothing stays buried forever. Conspiracies unravel, near-death experiences stack up, and soon, they're questioning everything-their choices, their past, and just how much they're willing to risk for each other. Because it's Lockwood & Co. And nothing is ever that simple.

The story takes place after the fourth book. Lockwood & Co. would absolutely like to know Penelopes's secret. Because of that they break into the Fittes mausoleum at night. But nobody would have expected what happened next. In the following days they discover more and more secrets. And not only Penelopes. Accompany the team to their last fight. The end will show, which side wins. And of course, there's a lot of Lucewood/Locklyle ☺️ (The figures belong to Jonathan Stroud but all the rights of the story belong to me)

"I'll love you till you die." How long is that? What about after death? An icy cool breeze blew gently across my back. Warm liquid caked my body, gluing my eyes shut. A moan of pain escaped my lips, as I slowly started to gain control of my body again and my brain finally registered the thousands of slits across my back. Breaking the thin film of blood over my eyes I sat up gasping in pain with every small movement another lightly healed cut split back open. Holly's ragged breathing could be heard from the corner and I could just make out her shivering silhouette. A sickly dark liquid started to fill my mouth, I spat it out but more came in its place. I tried swallowing it but nothing helped, my nails scraped across the cool stone beneath me as I tried to reach out for someone or something to hold onto.

*I wrote this late at night so it's basically crack taken seriously George experiments with radio and how it allows spirits to communicate. They have never been able to feel more bad for Lucy. Note: In this story, George uses a radio to communicate with the dead. This is based on what actual paranormal investigators do now; their tech isn't as advanced so that is why they are using a normal radio instead of an EVP recorder. Short Story***

Lucy Carlyle and Anthony Lockwood... they might be my favourite ship ever. I read the first book almost a decade ago, and I'm pretty sure they were the first ship I read on wattpad. I've recently been seeing edits of the show on tiktok, and it's kinda fuelled my fangirl heart for Locklyle / Lucewood. I'm also really bored and need to start writing again... I have no idea what's going to happen in this book because I'm writing it as I go, but just know there'll definitely be lots of Locklyle 😈. I think I've read just about every ff on wattpad about them (still need to search ao3). Anyways, this will probably be set around book 3...?
