If I had one super power it would be to be invisible, not for creepy stalker/spying reasons but for the ‘for the love of God just leave me alone’ reasons. Instead everyone knows I am there, they just have decided I am deaf and dumb so it doesn’t matter what they say to me or how it may make me feel, I can’t hear them so it must not hurt me. I am so used to hearing: ‘I wish she wasn’t around so we had to witness how pathetic she is’ ‘I bet she is as dumb as she is wide’ ‘I don’t even know why she comes to school every day, she should just stay home’ What I wasn’t used to is someone addressing me and expecting a response, I had done such a good job of ignoring everyone and making sure that everyone knew I didn’t want to be spoken to that when someone finally did I didn’t know how to respond, so I responded the best way I know how, silence. Until all my years of forming my own world in my bubble were being tested when the town’s hero and basketball star decided he was going to strategically deconstruct this world I had perfected. He was making my life a living hell, especially when I realized that he was changing how I felt about life, and for the first time I didn’t not only want to be invisible, I wanted to be noticed, and I was about to put my heart out there as I never had before, I just hope I wouldn’t regret coming out of my world once is all said and done. Note: Please give this a chance. I had taken this down to try and make the beginning of the story move faster, but it works like it is. The first couple chapters may be slow, but it gets faster quick.
