After the Great War between the Black Elementals and the rest of the world, the last good Elementals went into their Eternal Rest. They were few of them left and they broke their bonds with the Witchers after defeating the Black ones. Years later, a crack in the ancient ice echoed through the valleys and villages until the sound reached Kaer Mohren. It was the same time a child entered Kaer Mohren to start his Witcher training. An Elemental woke the moment Geralt of Rivia survived his tests. It was Geralt's mother, a sorceress, who wanted to keep her son safe and found this the only way : she used an old magic spell to bound their powers together from the first time they would meet. It wasn't until Blaviken, Geralt and Eira met each other and the force of their powers united.

after Ciri returned to normal and Yennifer got her powers back, Jaskier was on his way out planning to head back to his home town whilst secretly hiding the wound on his abdomen with his red coat, Jaskier knew Geralt might be mad at Yennifer for now maybe for a few months but adventuly they would probably fuck it out, so Jaskier wasn't planning on sticking around just to have his heart broken again, Jaskier was halfway over the bridge when Geralt stopped him by grabbing his arm keeping him from walking any further, maybe Jaskier was to deep in thought because he hadn't heard the Witcher approaching, all it took was a few words and a look from Geralt for Jaskier's foolish heart to soften, and that's how he found himself travelling with Geralt, Ciri and... Yennifer whom had become Ciri's magic teacher... if he wasn't so scared of the outcome of being discovered for what he truly was he would have already had Ciri using magic like it was her sword, especially since she's elven blood Jaskier x Geralt Jaskier isn't human in this fic.
