Jaskier turns and runs, feet digging desperately for traction in the slippery sand. Geralt barely notices the wounds in his leg and side as he gives chase, silver sword shining in his hand. Jaskier is surprisingly fast, no doubt used to fleeing at the drop of a hat when things get rough with an angry paramour or monster. He would probably have lost a normal man in the shifting dunes, or managed to escape to the nearby forest to hide. Geralt is no normal man. A story about a not completely human Jaskier

The stars are beautiful and Jaskier can't sleep, but how was he supposed to know that a late night conversation could turn into so much more?

Geralt had difficulty on finding work, it didn't help the fact, that he might get kicked out from his apartment. Luckily, a friend of his offered him a job. The kind of job he did not look forward to, which was, babysitting some famous singer. But as it turned out, this famous singer, was none other than Julian Alfred Pankratz or Jaskier as he'd liked to be called. Modern Witcher AU! Except they're all human. Bodyguard! Geralt x Singer! Geralt took his time to look at him, all wrapped up in clothes clearly too loose for him. He looked tired, with dark circles under his usually light blue eyes; now the color of his irises, normally similar to that of the clear sky during a winter morning, looked darker thanks to the dim light, like the ocean on a stormy day instead. Even if a week and a half has almost passed since he showed up covered in blood, scared, burning for the fever and shivering so hard he couldn't even stand on his own legs, he still looked as pale and exhausted as the day he arrived. At least, now he was able to sit without passing out. He didn't want to think what would have happened to him if he hadn't found him. Post 1x06 because I'm a bad person. Jaskier is hurt, Geralt blames himself.

It's been a year ever since Geralt and Jaskier went their separate ways. Geralt goes on a mission to hunt down a swamp monster, first passing by a town. As if faith brought the two together again, they cross paths. Only destiny can tell where they'll go from here. As lies are told and blood is spilled, the world goes back into war, fighting to claim a creature holding the power to destroy it all. Warning: It's probably gonna include lots of blood, imma try not to be too detailed. Also, no smut or NSFW. (May or may not be romantic, depending on you guys 😉 also kinda disappointed that the ship name isn't Jaskieralt, it honestly sounds better....) Also don't ask me to credit the artist for the cover, cause the artist is me ;)
