Geralt and Jaskier are camping out as usual, Geralt has a question and the firewood ran out. what could possibly be revealed?

While they travel on the road, Jaskier fills the time joyfully singing a song about a young love. But when he uses male pronouns Geralt starts a tense and confusing conversation. "Wait... So you... liked this guy?"

So this a series on AO3 ^ thats the name, yes. Jaskier turns and runs, feet digging desperately for traction in the slippery sand. Geralt barely notices the wounds in his leg and side as he gives chase, silver sword shining in his hand. Jaskier is surprisingly fast, no doubt used to fleeing at the drop of a hat when things get rough with an angry paramour or monster. He would probably have lost a normal man in the shifting dunes, or managed to escape to the nearby forest to hide. Geralt is no normal man. A story about a not completely human Jaskier

Soulmates have forever been a lost thought to the world, as half of those who are alive have much better things to worry about. There are only a select few who care and have found the person bound to them. All in all, soulmates are a rare situation and commitment to consider. Julian Alfred Pankratz, on day one as a child, was taught that finding a soulmate as nobility did not matter. One was to marry another person of nobility to keep everything in order. Of course, Julian didn't listen to a word his father said, and instead ran off in his early adult years to find them. Unfortunately, however, when he stumbles upon the person he is to love forever, they dismiss the idea as well as Julian himself. But that doesn't mean Julian is to give up, no sir. The rejection only drives him more to change his fate into one with his soulmate.

They say curiosity killed the cat. Could one too many careless decisions cost Geralt everything?

Geralt took his time to look at him, all wrapped up in clothes clearly too loose for him. He looked tired, with dark circles under his usually light blue eyes; now the color of his irises, normally similar to that of the clear sky during a winter morning, looked darker thanks to the dim light, like the ocean on a stormy day instead. Even if a week and a half has almost passed since he showed up covered in blood, scared, burning for the fever and shivering so hard he couldn't even stand on his own legs, he still looked as pale and exhausted as the day he arrived. At least, now he was able to sit without passing out. He didn't want to think what would have happened to him if he hadn't found him. Post 1x06 because I'm a bad person. Jaskier is hurt, Geralt blames himself.
