At first, she assumed they were nightmares, but randomly waking up in the woods wasn't normal. With each dream came new scars and fears. As the years went by Asa became closed off, never allowing anyone too close to her aside from Ella, a kind spirit who magically appeared up on her 14th birthday. But now people and things are changing all around her and Asa doesn't know how to slow them down. This is a short story I had to creat for a university class. It is about two Norse mythology elves who are forced to find their way back home, and end up finding something better: a home.

After a painful divorce, she moves back to Germany with her children to start anew-but the old woods hide dangers whispered only in forgotten songs.
