Germanicmythology Stories

In this collection I am looking at different topics concerning J.R.R. Tolkien and his Work. My main Focus will be the Influence he took from Norse and Germanic Mythology. The Temple at Uppsala has closed and with it the last major site of worship for the old Germanic gods. Having suffered repeated defeat at the hands of Christ and having been forced to retreat time and time again over the centuries, this comes as little more than a finishing blow. This is the story of their reaction to their receiving it.

This biographical essay has been a long time in coming. As a mythic literalist I personally believe in the legends surrounding the life of Theodoric the Great but, of course, mainstream historians keep them separate from who they believe the historical man was. To remedy this I dived into medieval German and Scandinavian sources and blended the legendary elements into this biography alongside the accepted historical events (with my own interpretations) to offer a mythic literalist perspective on the Ostrogoth King. For me, this is how Theodoric's life played out, Magic and all.
