Set in the years of the Holocaust and World War Two (1938 to 1948) Amsterdam was a beautiful city, full of music, sound, and light. But it also was a city full of love. Felix' father forces him and his brothers to join Hitler's Youth; which will train them to become SS men. Felix and Margret's relationship is strictly forbidden, and it something that can put both themselves and their families in grave danger. However, it can also be the very thing that saves their lives. NOTE: This book is loosely based off of several different Nazi/Jew relationships during the Holocaust, and the events and places mentioned in this novel are also true. Please note however that most of the characters in this book are entirely fictional. Though the characters may not be real, the stories and testimonies of what people really went through during the Holocaust are VERY real and should always be remembered.
