During his recovery from a fatal car-crash that his girlfriend had fallen victim to, a young man discovers that he may actually be able to communicate with her and other members of the deceased; the catch however is that he can only talk to those he himself witnessed die. A deadly winter storm puts the local port into a lockdown. Jake is convinced that one of the container ships is carrying illicit cargo in the form of abducted children. Ryan attempts to investigate, but after the kind of freak accident that feels more like a warning to stay away, he's kept in hospital for overnight observation. Jake is alone, but he's not deterred. Certain that his instincts are correct, he grabs his trusty friend Marty and heads back to the docks intent on getting proof before the storm blows over and the stranded vessels are allowed to leave British waters.
