Taking place between Secret of the Lake and Secret of the Scroll in Legacy of Wolves. Cole is a ghost so he and Jay head out to talk to Asterope to regain his body. But of course, things never turn out well, and they must travel and maybe discover more about each other's upbringings and have themselves tested as a cruel world tries to take what they think are dead souls. (Set after Season 5) Cole's been having a rough time learning how to be a ghost. But a chance encounter and some finicky weather might just be the pick-me-up he needs.

"He could feel something inside him changing. The air passed through him like a bullet. Quickly, he grabbed it, and ran out, "Don't worry! I got the scroll!" They gasped. "Why are you all looking at me like that?" "You didn't make it out in time." Jay said. "Yeah, Cole, you're a-a--" "I'm a ghost." " When Yang turned Cole into ghost, he obviously had some struggles.

Cole is a ghost. Grieving hard for the loss of his body and his world already flipped upside down, things just get more complicated when he has a strange dream. Now, it's a race against the clock for the Ninja as they struggle to find Lloyd and defeat Morro before it's too late, all the while balancing their new dynamic with a ghost on the team, old wounds being reopened, and a special new training between Cole and Kai. Emotions are running high, the tension is thick, and the ever-looming threat of Morro threatens to break the Ninja apart.

i always wished the writers had explored the psychological damage being unable to feel would've given cole, but since they weren't gonna do it i did a oneshot about how badly cole is taking to being a ghost

When Cole walks out of Sensei Yang's Haunted Temple as a ghost, the ninja have to learn to deal with the new changes to their friend. And Cole will have to learn to accept what has happened. Or does he? Based on a plot twist my step brother came up with. Takes place during Season 5 staring with The Temple on Haunted Hill.
