This was her chance to prove herself. Taking a deep breath she stood up, smoothed down her dress and headed toward stage. She heard the audience clapping for her as walked on stage but didn't really register that it was for her. She felt all the eyes staring at her, waiting. She brought the mouth piece to her mouth and quickly ran through a B-flat scale. She had made sure her tuba sounded perfect before walking on stage of course, but needed a moment to calm her nerves. Looking through the audience for her parents, she spotted them in the second row. Amelia smiled, this was what she had been practicing for. Taking a deep breath she began to play. Once she was done she took a bow and the audience began to clap. Exhaling in relief for not messing up on the notes, she felt light headed again. Not like before though, now it was much worse. It was natural to be embarrassed she reassured herself. After all she was the first performer, she had nobody else's acts to compare her own to as she normally did. Amelia stood up from her chair and began walking off stage. She never made it off stage though. Her vision went black and she could barely breathe. As Amelia was walking off stage, she collapsed. Amelia felt arms grab her and her parents voices but she couldn't understand what they were saying, as if they were speaking another language. She tried to say that she was fine just a little light-headed, but instead of words coming out of her mouth she began to cough instead. Suddenly it all became silent and she blacked out.
