"I wish I could have saved her." I cried in my mothers arms. "Oh honey I know that she knows you did your best to save her. She will always be with you." She said as she hugged me tightly. I couldn't look down to see my best friend's dead body... burned. Cadence and her horse Scarlet Diana have been to the moon and back together. Cadence protects Scarlet Diana with her life. She takes the best care of her. But one night some drunk girls set the barn on fire which has Cadence and Scarlet Diana in there. In attempt to save her owner Scarlet Diana pushes Cadence out. Cadence retreats to try and help her friend but it was too late. A piece of burning timber fell on top of Scarlet Diana and breaks her back. But Cadence not willing to let her horse burn leads the crooked horse outside only to be able to see her horse collapse to her side and die. A few days after Scarlet Diana's death Cadence feels as if her horse never left. Soon she starts to hear noises and see shadows of her beloved friend.

"I knew I should just forget, move on, and enjoy myself... but I just couldn't. The way she looked at me, I can't forget that." Atlas is a ghost. A ghost horse. He lives an ordinary life, until one day he meets a girl. He knows from the moment she looks at him, she is meant to be his girl. But Atlas is dead. He will never become her horse and she will never become his girl. So Atlas forms a plan. Using an ancient secret, he uses magic to become a real, alive horse. And finally, finally, he is with the girl. But, despite his joy, he knows he can't keep it up forever. His strength begins to drain, and soon enough, he and the girl will be no more. Can Atlas find a way to stay with his girl, permanently?
