So.. the universe basically got fucked over by not only one Doctor Doom. But two! Now there are a lot of heroes going around trying to fix this shit. But yours truly isn't even from this universe. He was just randomly pulled by Galacta. Or whatever her name is.

With Johnny Blaze missing, Mephisto wishes to keep the family business running by seeking his accidental son. Like his father he makes the same mistake becoming the new Spirit of Vengence born to punish the wicked, and where else better than a place where the supernatural thrives? the city of Kuoh.
