I haven't played the game so sorry if I mess up some lore. just some sweet and maybe spicy short stories about our favorite Sargent and lieutenant.

These two make me very happy so I decided to write a story about them, I don't know everything about the game so please don't come after me when I get something wrong 😭 (There might be a little smut somewhere in there ;)

[I've kind of mashed the canon from them. essentially it sources the comics for the past, references the original modern warfare lineup for Roach and then the last segment lines up with the events of the newer MW2, this was to kind of create my own timeline for the remake. hope that helps!] Ghost had killed off his life outside the military many years ago, as a result scars from past trauma had never fully healed due to years of neglect and ignorance in the hopes they'd go away on their own. When being forced to face those scars over Christmas he quickly realised he couldn't do it without Johnny 'soap' Mactavish, a Sergeant he was loosely acquainted with. In doing so he's forced to go against his self-hatred, his longing for affection and the loss of a teammate near to him. [[TW/CW for drinking, mentions of child abuse, mentions of torture and generally a lot of trauma. Also I've not played any of the games but I plan to soon! <3 ]]

Sometimes, things don't work out how you plan. Feelings get hurt, people die, you get trapped. Ghost and Soap, only a few feet apart, yet it still feels lifetimes away. Being stuck together gives you time, not only to think, but to talk. Watch as these two stay strong a dire situation, even if things seem hopeless. Maybe there was a sliver of hope, somewhere where the air seemed almost still. Maybe there was something that could allow them to ignore the tension between them, but it becoming increasingly obvious. "Johnny.. You've be searching your cell for a few days now, I don't think there's anything there" Ghost says. Soap rest his hands on his sides, letting out a tried breath. "At least I'm trying to get us out of here" Soap mentions. Ghost lifts his head, looking at him through his bars. {Also on Ao3!}

It was easier that way if you expect less you hurt less. Or at least, that's what he told himself.

Keeping peace with yourself is something that even the strongest can struggle with. In a matter of seconds things can go wrong.

I recommend watching Spirit before reading this Fanfic, as it is only losely based on the movie, but it still keeps some of its story parts. Ghost and Soap have feelings for each other, but Ghost hasn't been able to admit it. He keeps Soap at arm's length, until suddenly he's almost taken from him in combat. Soap hears a confession Ghost didn't think he was awake to hear, and the two sort out their feelings while Ghost takes care of Soap after his injury.

Task force 141 are assigned to take down and rescue civilians that have been kidnapped and trafficked in the awful world of human trafficking in some part of the USA. But the mission ends up being much, much worse. Not only being simple human trafficking...but worse. Civilians only being mere children....But, at the end, they end up taking back home a 10 year-old girl named Rachel. (Also TW: This has: SA,SH, sexual abuse, abuse, homophobia, and more) (I have not played MW2 cuz I literally can't xd. But my brother has played it so I know a couple of things here and there, but still, if I get somethin very wrong, tell me. But also know that this is my Au so personalities and backstories may not be the same and be completely different from the canon.)

The two had a very soft love, one that wasn't harsh and loud. It was refreshing to see something so innocent in the chaos that was their day to day life. Nobody commented on their relationship, but they all enjoyed seeing the two act like lovestruck teenagers. The softness was a wonderful contrast to their jagged job.
