This is a love story. A story about how love became the mirror that forced me to confront the fractures in my soul. When your past is a haunted house-echoing with the whispers of abandonment, the shadows of betrayal, and the ghosts of wounds you've buried-falling in love feels less like a fairy tale and more like a reckoning. Your love story is a collision of tender first kisses and panic attacks in the dark, of hands that promise forever but trigger memories of those who left. Through fragmented chapters of heartache and hope, you unravel how trauma taught you to love like a storm: fiercely, destructively, always waiting for the sky to fall. But as your relationship teeters between salvation and collapse, you begin to trace the patterns-how every argument, every flinch at intimacy, every midnight confession is a thread leading back to the child who learned to survive, not to trust. This is a story of unbecoming-of peeling back the layers of fear, anger, and shame armor-plated around your heart. It's about the nights you sobbed into your partner's shirt, the mornings you woke up ready to run, and the slow, aching realization that healing isn't erasing the past, but stitching a future from its scraps. With haunting suspense, you'll ask: Can love rewrite the DNA of a broken heart? The answer lies in the quiet moments-the handwritten apology notes slipped under doors, the vulnerability of saying "I'm scared," and the courage to finally face the reflection in the mirror: not a victim, but a warrior, flawed and still fighting. Raw, lyrical, and unflinchingly honest, this memoir is for anyone who's ever wondered if they're too damaged to be loved... and dared to believe they're not.

When Ferris steps into the woods with Laila, the girl who lights up even the darkest corners of his life, he doesn't expect the forest to remember them. And he definitely doesn't expect a man named Buck Immanuel to tell him: "This happens every year. Same time. Same place. Same fall." As time bends and fractures, Ferris is forced to confront a truth about Laila buried under years of grief: And he might be the reason.

Seventeen-year-old Akira carries invisible burdens: the weight of every half-kept promise, every misunderstanding that shattered someone he loved, and every version of himself he can't forgive. His regrets aren't just memories-they're ghosts. They linger in the silence of his ex-girlfriend's empty desk, in the cautious glances of friends who no longer recognize him, and in the suffocating question: What if you can't outrun the person you used to be? When a chance encounter on the school rooftop reunites him with Hana-the girl whose heart he broke-both are forced to confront the unspoken wounds of their past. But healing isn't about erasing mistakes. It's about learning to walk forward, even when the ghosts cling to your shadow. A melancholic yet hopeful story about failed relationships, the weight of 'what if,' and the quiet courage it takes to bloom again.

The First Tweet I shouldn't have clicked. But curiosity is a slow poison-one drop, then another, until your veins are flooded with questions you can't unask. The screen glowed in the dark, casting jagged shadows across my face. His ex-wife's Twitter profile stared back at me, frozen in time like a museum of their love. A grainy photo from eleven years ago: John Smith, younger, softer, holding a cup of espresso beside her milkshake. The caption read: Espresso Milkshake. My chest tightened. This was the man I was going to marry. And this was the life he'd already lived without me.
