It was around 3 AM when I woke up. The lights were out, but I saw a faint figure on Deniz's bed. I tiptoed to her bed and lightly tapped her shoulder. She instantly woke up when I touched her. I told her that I had a childish fear of being alone in the dark, and I needed to go to the restroom at the end of the hall. I'm pretty sure she smiled.
