Caden, already down on his luck and homeless, stumbles upon a case of random alcohol left behind a bar, setting off a chain of events that leads to a mysterious and alarming changes in his height. As he grapples with his newfound diminishment, he finds refuge in a stranger's apartment.

In her first year of living alone, Grace makes a fatal mistake. She ends up encountering a giant, which the tales have made out to be cruel beasts. "Grace was starting to think that some of the stories she had been told about giants were probably exaggerated. But Grace recognized that she shouldn't jump to such wild conclusions. The giant could still betray her, he could still harm her at a moment's notice. For some reason, Grace still decided to give the giant her name. Part of it was out of fear, but the other part came from a bold, reckless side of her. 'I'm G-Grace.' Aaden smiled. 'That's a beautiful name. Nice to meet you, Grace.'"

Jack is hoping for change. He lives alone with his mother, and always finds himself wishing for more. He wants comfort, affection; he wants to be loved. Roger and Mabel are hoping for change. They live with each other in the clouds, loving each other, but wishing they had something else. All they want is a child.

Neighbors--you love 'em or you hate 'em, but either way, you're stuck with 'em! Eddie's little human neighbor would do anything for him, but he's sure going to have his hands full!

He is enthralled with the idea of living up to his name and begins a secret, vigilante lifestyle to make sure the humans "in his care" are safe. What happens when he is put to the test? Will his activities be explained away? Or will they get him caught?

As the title may imply, this book does not contain pants that have been cut. Rather, it is a collection of short stories, mainly based off prompts I have found online. But when a strange disease plagues her master and forces them to spend almost every minute with one another, Maria discovers that perhaps "dangerous" was an exaggeration. Though, even as her previous fears subside, it becomes obvious that there's something much darker going on beneath the surface of the relatively quiet kingdom.
