Merlin decides to head home to his mother and Ealdor but finds a young run away girl on his journey there. Taking her under his wing, he becomes a father figure to her as Gaius was to him and a strong bond soon grows between the two. Meanwhile, Arthur is regretting banishing Merlin and is lost without his best friend or a way to make things right again. That's until a young girl rides into Camelot, bruised, broken and desperately seeking help for her village and Dad. Maybe Arthur has a chance to apologise and regain a man who is like a brother to him...
