Zara Osei came to America with $400, a laptop, and a dream she couldn't afford to lose. Caleb Monroe is the quietly brilliant Outlier AI task reviewer who keeps flagging her submissions - not because they're wrong, but because they're too good. He needs to know who's behind username ZaraWrites07. She's grinding for rent money. He's grieving a startup that failed and a career he's rebuilding one task at a time. Neither of them came to the Outlier platform looking for love - but somewhere between RLHF feedback loops, $40-an-hour payouts, and late-night DMs about whether AI will ever truly understand metaphor, something human sparks between them. When Zara's viral finance blog catches the eye of a Wall Street firm and Caleb's past resurfaces to threaten both their futures, they'll have to decide: is building a life together worth the risk of losing the one they've each fought so hard to build alone? A story about hustle, healing, and falling in love in the margins of the gig economy.
