khamumile
Koji keeps to herself at the local taco joint. She is blunt, guarded, and not exactly known for being friendly. She clocks in, does her job, and avoids unnecessary conversation. Khami, on the other hand, is all smiles and easy charm; always quick to help, loved by customers and coworkers alike, and happily taken... or so everyone thinks.
They're an unlikely pair, barely speaking outside of shift changes and the occasional shared task. But in the quiet lulls behind the counter, during late-night clean-ups and casual banter on break, something unspoken starts to grow. Koji notices the way Khami laughs a little differently with her. Khami starts to wonder why Koji's silence feels louder when she's not around.
Neither of them meant for this to happen. One's closed off. The other's taken. And yet-something's there. They just don't know what to call it yet...
