There's a new kid on the block in Araluen, well a group of them, and they aren't all kids, and well they aren't necessarily new. The Thieves Guild was silent for several decades, and everyone thought it had been disbanded, but when Halt, Will and Gilan run into a mysterious girl, they come to question just how much they know about this mysterious group.

This is my first story so it might be bad. Basically, Will,Halt, Alyss, Crowley, Pauline, Horace, Cassandra, King Duncan, and Gilan find a book and read it.

Amber has known nothing but pain and suffering ever since her parents died. Taken from a child abuse camp by Lord Morgarath, she soon understands that the life she is to live under his shelter wasn't much better than the one she had escaped from. Determined however to prove her loyalty and gratitude to him, she agrees to going on a mission to kill one of the greatest heroes in Araluen, the famous Ranger Halt. When she finds Halt and his apprentice Will however, she realises that they are nothing like what Moragarth had made them out to be. When she begins to feel love and a sense of belonging for the first time, will Amber be able to continue with her mission and take the life of those who she has begun to care so deeply for? What will happen to the trust they placed on her and the kindness they showed when her true intentions are revealed? Will Amber give in to her conscience and join their side or will she yet again lose another family?

A small warning rumble. An acknowledgment. A casual visit to the creek. A known presence. An iron strong grip on the collar of the boy's neck. Then a SPLASH as the man known as the larger-than-life figure Halt throws the boy into the creek. Meet Gilan, the son of Meric Fief's battle master. As natural, he has been trained with a sword since he could walk. But he soon tires of the daily routines of battleschool. He wants something more. He wants the life of the mysterious elite group known as the Rangers.

Will has been an accomplished Ranger for sometime now and soon decides to take up an apprentice, a boy named Justin who was orphaned at a young age. But when Justin's tortured past is discovered and Will's life in danger, Justin must decide whether to save his mentor or save his life.

This is Halt in the Ruins of Gorlan. Focus is on Halt, with some Will & Halt bonding, but more Halt & Gilan, Halt & Pauline and definitely more Halt & Crowley.

This young kid appears out of no where, but tells them nothing of his past. With mystery in his eyes, Errol turns out to be more important than ever. But who is he?

No one usually believes legends. But what if I told you a legend that was true? A old Hibernian Legend about a King that every Hibernian knows.
