But what happens when the killer knows Malcolm and Dani are getting close to catching them and so they decide to try to poison Malcolm and Dani to slow the investigation?

Malcolm and Ainsley's cousin Richard Miton is getting married and has invited Malcolm, Ainsley, Jessica and their plus-ones to the week-long wedding event. Please note that with the character of Birdie Milton and her relationship with the Whitlys, I am not following the show since canonically she doesn't seem to have a great relationship with them. The castle that is mentioned in this fanfic is Castle Gould/Hempstead House that is actually located in New York. I have never been as I have never been to New York but I did do some digging into what it looked like and where it was located before writing it into my story.
