This series or partially-related stories tells how a man travels across a land of vast stories and unmatched segregation. You would assume by this point that this man of whom I've been speaking is the main character, but really the main character is the narrator. It's complicated.

While the other sister ladies Evelyn and Emma strive to find their place amongst the crowd. Each has their role in the running the household. But through finding themselves they also carry a family secret as well. They were born with special abilities that are not known to this world. Each has their own special power to help keep the City of San Francisco safe. These proper ladies have to fight the rules of how to behave in a proper ballroom and fight off demons at night. Can they do both and still maintain their family names as women in society??
