Angelina Greene was never one to make waves past the confines of her immediate family. But, after her long awaited return from school in France following a rebellious childhood, complications await in New York City. Now dealing with the problems of an overbearing mother, a double life, old secrets, and an unfortunately charming new neighbor, she must find a way to live her life, her way. Win or lose, the game has only just begun. ... This story will not perfectly align with the plot of the Gilded Age. I do not own the characters of the Gilded Age show, just those of my own design.

Touted as the safest, largest, most luxurious ship in the world, the Titanic is a beacon of hope on both sides of the Atlantic. The ship is the culmination of humanity's ambitions, hopes and dreams of conquering the sea. She beckons rich and poor alike, promising to fulfil the dreams of all those who step aboard her decks. Emmeline Bartrop is a young girl who harbours such dreams. Stifled by the expectations of a society that refuses to accept her, she boards the Titanic hoping to find direction in America. For a few wild days onboard the opulent liner she finally tastes the freedom she has longed for her whole life. But icebergs fill the Atlantic, and all it takes is one to tear a hole in the Titanic and sink the ship-along with the hopes and dreams of Emmeline and the two thousand other souls onboard. The story of the ill-fated liner is well-known all over the world. Can the ship and all those who sail on her escape the cruel fate that history has in store for them this time, or are they doomed to end up in the bottom of the North Atlantic, again and again, as they have in every iteration of the story?

Lucia and Charley are the products of Old New York's ruling elite. Prestige. Wealth. Tradition. Scandal. No one is immune. Not Charley, reckless, blithe courtier of trouble, heiress to the Montrose fortune, who has been conspicuously absent for over a year without a word of truth or explanation. Nor Lucia, as docile a daughter as any parent could wish for, carrying secrets of her own, slowly awakening to a yearning for things beyond obeisance to the established order, as deeply ingrained as Old New York's fascination for, and fear of, scandal. Sailing into the summer of 1929, on the eve of the Black Tuesday Wall Street Crash and a world on the brink of change, Charley and Lucia must keep their wits sharp about them in the pleasure capitals of the Continent and on the Nile to steer their futures away from peril. There are men and temptations to resist, intrigues and mysteries to untangle, secrets to hide, lies to weave, and jewel thieves to outsmart while, back home in New York and on the Exchange, the world rumbles and thunders ominously by. More hangs in the balance than the frivolities of the Jazz Age, the glitzy parties in London and the lures of Paris, automobile races, leisurely flirtations on the French Riviera, opulent Egyptian nights, and the catching of a brilliant matrimonial prize. This Grand Tour could prove to be the making of two young women, a prelude to freedom and independence, to saving and building an empire... Or perhaps merely an invitation to rebellion, scandal and unmitigated disaster. Running away or running towards? Tick-tock.

Cheyenne and Alysia Astor are the stars of the social season. These twins are each others only friend among all the other back-stabbing and gossipy debutantes. It's well-known the the Astors rule society. Will they get what they want? Or more than they bargained for? Edward William DeVries is the heir to a great fortune. It's his duty to marry in one season's time. Will he choose Cheyenne? Clearly Cheyenne Astor is the best by every standard: looks, dowry, and connections. Or will bitter secrets ruin them? Rhys DeVries is the second son of the DeVries family. Everyone knows that a second son is practically useless: connections, but no money to accompany his name. They should have a profession, but not any unrespectable one. A second son has three options: military, church or medicine. However he admires art- of all kinds, though he loves painting the most. Alysia catches his eye- not a bad choice as she is still an Astor. They could have done worse. Will they realize that they are valuable and not useless as society deems them? Or does society and its norms tear them apart? Copyright © 2013 funsummerlove DO NOT STEAL. THIS IS MY IDEA AND HARD WORK. All characters are purely fictional. I wrote this when I was into reading about history, but not reading or watching historical fiction-- aside from Call the Midwife, which inspired me to add (somewhat) of a baby storyline.

The Livingstons are one of the gilded families, a mixture of old money and money that is newer, although not nouveau riche. The patriarch, Bernard, is facing unprecedented opportunities for his family in the cutthroat business world, while his second wife has taken on the competitive marriage mart to find her children and stepchildren suitable matches. The Livingston offspring will navigate societal expectations, pressure, and pleasures, present but sometimes veiled dangers, and the varied applications of magic as they shape their lives.
