I let my head lean back onto the wall and I was about to close my eyes, when I was pulled from my dream-like state by a loud crash. I jumped and my eyes shot wide open. I slid out of the bed and padded over to the conjoining door that separated this hotel room from the one next door. I pressed my ear against the cold metal and tried to figure out what was going on. "There's another lamp right here if that's what makes you feel better" I heard the familiar voice of Jack Johnson sarcastically remark, but before I could laugh I heard a sound that tore me apart, I heard his sobs loud and clear as he tried to choke out the words. "I still love her." Those four words hit me like a train and sent me reeling. I gasped for air as my hand shot to my mouth to keep myself from crying out loud. I turned so my back was against the door and I slid down into a huddled up position. My legs were still shaking and my entire body felt numb. I was panting as I tried desperately to retain the sobs.
