The name Rita has a Spanish origin and it means pearl. Which was the truth. Rita was the pearl of the Mikaelson family. Mikael didn't think this, Rita was born a witch but she was turned into a vampire thus being made into THE ORIGINAL HERETIC.

Circumstances of different nature brought them together and although they were not the closest from the beginning they ended up being very tight in the end. they all had circumstances surrounding their friendship but not giving up was the real deal.
