Rory definitely doesn't have her life together at the end of AYITL, but luckily she has lots of friends in Stars Hollow who are willing to help her get through her most difficult year yet...and one ex-boyfriend who seems more eager to help than most. This next chapter picks up right where 'A Year in the Life' left off: the day Rory breaks the news to Lorelei that she's pregnant. Will Rory be able to get it together in time for the arrival of her baby? Will Logan step up to the plate? Did Jess really ever stop loving Rory? And what happens to Lane, Sookie, Lorelei, Luke, Paris, Tristan, Kirk, Michel, and Emily?? (This is honestly my selfish excuse to rewrite some of the wrongs that happened in AYITL, and it may be obvious from the cover how this fic is gonna go. What if, instead of two Gilmore Girls, there were three? After the recent car crash her parents were in, Bea Gilmore just became an orphan and has nowhere to go to. That is until her distant relatives, Richard Gilmore (her grandparent's brother) and Emily Gilmore, decide to take her from her hometown in England to theirs in Connecticut, America. There they know they are not the best option to take care of her, so as they have an idea they decide to make a deal with their only daughter, Lorelai. As Lorelai is forced to take Bea in, thanks to the deal she made with her parents, she and Rory will have to learn how to live with a new family member just as Bea will learn how to deal with her recent loss, as they all navigate through life in Stars Hollow. After discovering she is pregnant, Rory moves back to Stars Hollow and has no idea how her life is going to turn out. Struggling with motherhood, she finds herself again dealing with old feelings for a love from the past while she tries to manage things with the father of her baby. This story picks up where "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" leaves off-- Lorelai and Luke are married and Rory announces she is pregnant. How does the Danes' relationship change now they've said "I do"? How does Rory deal with the pregnancy...and the baby's father?
