Back in the witches house the cookies try to escape but sadly it fails and suddenly their best cookie dies tragically and now they have to figure out who did it for the life of a new beginning, friends, love and breaking point.

SPOILERS TO SUMERU!! It's the beginning of the Traveler's journey in Sumeru. Nahida, or Lesser Lord Kusanali is trapped by her own citizens as they don't think she's worthy enough to be the new Dendro Archon. She's stuck in a cage inside the Akademiya when suddenly, her subconscious washes over and she's no longer in control. Now, a Cookie from another world has took her over for who knows why. It's up to GingerBright and Nahida to find a way to separate then get home.

A duo of cookies consisting of Gingerbrave & Gingerbright had escaped the Witch's House, far away from their duties that they took up in order for their lives to be spared. Running deep into a darkened but soothing forest known as the Forest of Butterflies and into the given area called the Shimmering Ocean Village, Gingerbrave and Gingerbright were found and taken in by the Goddess Sea Fairy Kimura. During their stay in the village, and learning more about the world of Earthbread and its inhabitants, the Ovenbreak Duo soon embark on an adventure to help the cookies and defeat Dark Enchantress Cookie. Joining them were from the likes of Wizard Ouma the tsundere magician who used to be in a yakuza and the first cookie to escape the Witch's House, Cherry Bomb Futaba the playfully excited bomber who sought for adventure after living through the same routine, and Herb Kimura the young god of nature in training and cherished son of Sea Fairy. Newly formed as Team Friendship & Dough, meeting new friends, making great allies, and conquering devastating foes, now working together to help all of Earthbread!

Pomegranate Cookie had as always been loyal to her master, Dark Enchantress, the cookie who always attempts to take over the Cookie Kingdom. Whenever she had given an order to Pomegranate, she would do it, no questions asked. Until that one fateful day that Dark Enchantress had no use to use Pomegranate any longer. Once the cookie had found out about the news, she ran away.... gone without a trace. Gingerbrave is determined to find his long-lost half sister, nothing can stop him, right? But then they meet a cookie who turns out to be a snake who wants to "help" them from their master, the Longan Dragon, but as it turns out, the snake plans something more sinister... What will Gingerbrave and his friends do? What will happen to them? Where will they go? And who is that hooded figure? In other words: Hi, this is a rewrite of the Cookie Run Ovenbreak story "The Age of Dragons".
