The space between the two faces closed and their lips were brought together in a sweet embrace. The two kissed for a long moment before Adashino pulled away and nodded at Ginko. This is a crossover (and my first book) between Mushi-shi and over the garden wall. Ginko runs into 2 children and a talking bird after getting a bit lost in a forest.

Natsume, on his way to solve peril after peril these Yokai cause, is struck and given a rough meeting to the Mushishi. Together, they solve the reason as to why the Mushishi is here, and exchange their new ages of humanity; All while figuring out a way to get the Mushishi back home. Mitsu Miyu lives alone deep in a mountain protecting a promise that is only a lie, when the mushi master, Ginko, arrives falling from a ledge and twisting his ankle. Miyu comes to his rescue, and during his stay they swap stories until his curiosity crosses a line with Miyu. [This story is mostly getting-to-know-you fluff between Ginko and my OC]

This is the Mushi you see from the Mushi-shi. Mushi (蟲, lit. Bug; Insect), also known as Midorimono (緑の物, lit. Green Thing), have been described as "life in its purest form". They are seemingly magical creatures which make their home in rural areas, and most of them depend upon either forest or human life in order to live; this is why they are considered a form of parasite. A Mushi is described as "life in its purest form", they are born from darkness and gather in the gloom at the borders with the light. The weaker a Mushi gets the brighter light it emits, because when a Mushi is weak it is close to its source, the Kouki - which is the basis of all Mushi. The River of Light flows through the Kouki.
