This story takes place back in 1993. Aaliyah (17 years old) is a teenager who lives in Brooklyn, New York. It's finally senior year and She is more excited than any of her friends are about graduating High School. Despite, her sharp tongue and abundant ego. Aaliyah is very smart and wants to turn some of her dreams into a reality, beginning with leaving her poor neighborhood and eventually start attending college. Devanté Swing (19 years old) is the complete of his childhood friend, Aaliyah. For example, one likes being the center of attention and always wants to be the life of the party. When the other prefers to actually stay out of the spotlight and wants to stay to themselves. The real problem comes in when Aaliyah doesn't know about Devante's secret crush that he had on her since, they were just kids. They say that opposites attract but, are they really too different to make their relationship work?

Besides from the fact that he and his partners Mase and Biggie are apart of the agency that's run by Quincy Jones, three out of the four are also kinda cordial with the mobster daughter Trish O'Day and girl-group Sex As A Weapon. Speaking of Trish O'Day, she starts her freshman year at a college at the same time as her sophomore friends Jeremy Davis, Moesha Mitchell alongside artists like Khalib, Carmen Brown, Sex As A Weapon(Nina & Tammi) & ranchera singer Rosaline Perez who are 4 out of all other girls becoming her roommates. Plus, Trish finds herself sad at the news of her boyfriend Han got deported but soon realizes that she's completely fine with the 'me, myself and I' thing and though things are okay with Moesha and her family since Myles's found, the last thing we'd seen was the pregnancy test so is it Hakeem's or Q's? If it's Q's then what happens up next for the two, will they try to be cordial or not?
