In the final battle against the Demon King, Muzan Kibutsuji pulled a sneaky move, injecting his blood into Tanjiro Kamado and Kanao Tsuyuri without either of them noticing. The battle was won...but Muzan's curse lived on. Three months later, Tanjiro and Kanao began to feel that something was terribly wrong. The truth soon revealed itself: they had become demons. Worse, or perhaps more terrifying, Tanjiro awakened a power even Muzan never fully achieved: the ability to create demons who are immune to the sun itself. Yet Muzan's plan backfired. Unlike him, Tanjiro and Kanao retained their free will. Many years passed, leading to the modern day. Tanjiro and the others lived peaceful lives, blending in among humans, hiding their true nature...until everything changed. One day, a massive, mysterious gate appeared in the middle of the city. From it poured supernatural creatures and warriors clad in medieval armor, rampaging through the streets and leaving destruction in their wake. As chaos spread, Tanjiro and the others revealed themselves, saving countless civilians and fighting alongside the Japan Self-Defense Force(JSDF). Recognizing their power, the JSDF recruits them. Now, as leaders of a special reconnaissnce them, Tanjiro, Kanao, and their allies are tasked with crossing the gate into the unknown world, beyond, now known as the Special Region. A land of fantasy, war, monsters...and destiny. What awaits beyond the gate will change both worlds forever.

After Beerus visits earth and fights goku and friends, beerus and whis take goku and vegeta to a trip around the universe, and goten and trunks decide to join them. the warriors on earth realize how weak they have become, and they all decide to train, with Gohan training under piccolo, krillin and 18 training in a gravity room, and tienshinhan going to a special place to train. after settling on beerus's planet, goten and trunks decide to return back to earth, but on their way back, they encounter a spaceship. once they entered, they are faced with a group of space soldiers which they defeat, but a very strong, unknown to them entity defeats them with only one attack and tells his right hand man to "clean them", and three years pass
