My name is Violet Neele. I'm seventeen years old, and I can't wait to graduate. I hate high school. The reason why is because I have no friends. I used to be home schooled, but my family needed more money so my mother got a new job. I'm quiet, and shy, and socially awkward. I'm a dreamer, and I get teased for it. The only people in my life that really care are my parents, my grandmother, and my best friend Amy. One day on my way home from school our bus driver hits a stray dog. Everyone thought it died, but later I found it at my doorstep. Ever since that day things have been for the better.

At twenty, Maya's life feels empty-trapped in loneliness, misunderstood at home, and disconnected from friends. One evening, while scrolling through endless Instagram reels, she stumbles upon puppy videos that stir something deep inside her heart.
