Woah! Sune is back from her very long writers block....and has 3 whole books planned?! yep yep!!! While I was wallowing in my inability to write anymore, I was struck with inspiration!!! what was my inspiration? A literal shit blurb I came up with at 4am while I was sipping some apple juice.
Whatever was in that apple juice, it helped me get some ideas lol.
For as long as I can remember, I've always written female leaning books, or GN books. I've always been scared to write for males(or GN tbh, writing GN always involved me removing sentences to ensure it was GN) because I feared mischaracterizing men. I had developed a fear of men since I was very young, and I usually don't interact with many IRL other than those related to me(which are the men I'm afraid of)
I felt like I wasn't a good fit to write males or anything- while that didn't stop me from writing men in book, I never really made them the main focus, or I already knew their behavior from Fandom/Canon or other books. But I decided to take a different route. I LOVE psychology(studying it as a hobby) and decided I could try focusing on small things! little twitches, quirks, the emotions! Men are often written(from what I've seen)as cold, stoic or unmovable. either that, or they're complete train wrecks. OK Disaster tries(I'm not an expert, I study Psychology just for fun) to be a lil different. It's got Romance, LGBTQ+, Trauma, Comfort, a lil angst, and I experimented a bit with Smut(which is something I never really wrote.) So far, I have three books for this series. The first one is focusing on two boys, Jesse and Elias! The second focuses on Jesse's sister, Lydia, and a new character Vivienne! as for the third book, I haven't made or planned the characters out, but it will include a straight couple(because the straights deserve love too). I might make more than 3 books, but no promises!
