A short story written by Sierra Akers (SoftLilRosie) I wrote this story pretty quickly, however I spent quite a bit of time editing it. I really enjoyed writing this one though.

How is Earth in the 26th century? 1. Due to global warming, there is climate control. Atmosphere is only habitable until 5,500 ft, blocked by invisible barriers known as 'radiation fields' that protect Earthens from the deadly heat rays of the sun. Volcanic eruptions and storm formations are easily predicted. Rainmaking is already done artificially every month, by inducing precipitation into the clouds, by means of aircraft. 2. The world is dominated mostly by four species: humans, cyborgs and androids, werewolves and vampires which in the first place, were no myths and fantasies, but realities living in hiding since the New World came to exist. The four are distinguished by their eye color: the humans, black or brown. The cyborg and androids, gray. The werewolves, blue. And the vampires, green. 3. These four species live only in their respective places: Werewolves in the South Pole, behind the South Barrier. Vampires in the North Pole, behind the North Barrier. Cyborgs and Androids that serve as protectors of humankind, in countries located in the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn. And humans, in equatorial countries such as the Federal Republic of the Filipine Islands, and Union of Africa--surrounding the High Tower, Palace of the High Lord and Lady, ruler of all kingdoms and authorities. --- 16-year-old Iorr Verrins is an ordinary human having an ordinary life, living in an ordinary place in an ordinary year of 2515 in the 26th century. But weird things begin to happen. 1. He had this unexplained strange redundant dream every night. 2. A mysterious, memory-less girl suddenly popped out in his life, claiming that he is the only one who could help her retrieve her memories. And lastly, 3. He would discover his fate that he couldn't escape--a fate that would change his whole life, and how he once viewed this world he's living in.

After a catastrophe throws their perfect world into chaos, order is forgotten and real feelings start coming back to everyone.

A poem that is about being trapped in a place that is supposed to be safe. It has a dystopia feel to it.
