Giyuu lay dying on his 25th birthday recounting all the good times he spent with his friends before and after the final battle with the demon king and his servants. Yet, as he takes his last breaths and finally finds solace in the life he's lived, he is mysteriously transported back a whole 8 years in the past. Now faced with a second opportunity to correct his mistakes and save the lives of those he felt indebted to, what would he do? -Certain character ages may be changed for the sake of the story (specific birthdays will be explained later). -Manga spoilers (why would anyone read a fanfic about the end of the series if they didn't finish the story)

Shinobu Kocho will never wipe from her memories the face of a betrayed man. Specially when it comes to Him. Those blue eyes that she cherishes so much refused to believe what that man said, they trembled and teared up. His hands became heavy and his throat couldn't produce a single sound. "And you know what?" Sanemi exploded into a maniac laughing "IT WAS SO FUCKING WORTHY, LOOK AT YOUR FACE." Shinobu tried to say something, anything or whatever word she could blabber. But it never came. That pained expression, those hurt eyes that reflected his shattered heart. How could she say something to him? She already lied enough. "Is that true, Kocho?" A snicker escaped his trembling lips as Giyu tried to keep his voice from breaking "That is just one of your jokes, right? Right...?" Shinobu felt a tear rolling down her cheek. She couldn't deny it anymore. She was the real monster.

Strangely enough, the water pillar never liked the rain, especially after missions like this. It's taunting, reminding him of the previous mistakes he made in the past, making his bones ache along with his soul, and fatigue haunt his every step. Too bad she seems to love it. Too bad, bad things always seem to happen to him when it's raining. Too bad the Butterfly Mansion was closer than the Wisteria House. Too bad the rain doesn't seem to be letting up anytime soon. And too bad the two of them are going to have to get along.

Kochou Shinobu, a butterfly princess was stuck in her castle strictly. She was bored and barely got to go out. She dislikes her arranged fiancé and really, really wanted someone better! But.. it was that way. One day, she decides to go sneak out of her castle undercover using a long cloak without any Royal attire. She bumps into a fellow commoner in the market who was rumoured as an orphan. She never heard that rumor. They glanced at each other and their pupils slightly dilate, not as clear. Her hood also came off and everyone immediately recognized her peculiar face, especially him, Tomioka Giyuu. She immediately ran away out of sight hoping she wouldn't be informed that she was sneaking out or caught by a Royal. Who knows though? They thought about each other once again.. Oh my.. Is this what they call love?..
