Choć jest Filarem Wody, jego drobna postura, niezwykła uroda i delikatność sprawiają, że niemal każda alfa zwraca na niego uwagę. Jest piękną omegą o chłodnym spojrzeniu, małych dłoniach i cichym charakterze. Wielu próbuje zdobyć jego serce, lecz on nie potrafi dostrzec nikogo poza dwiema osobami. Sanemi Shinazugawa i Obanai Iguro. Dwie najsilniejsze alfy Korpusu Zabójców Demonów, ustępujące jedynie Gyomeiowi Himejimie. Podziwiane przez wszystkie omegi, budzą respekt, strach i zachwyt. Nigdy jednak nie zwróciły uwagi na cichego Filara Wody... a przynajmniej tak wydaje się Giyuu. Niewielu wie, że za jego spokojnym wyrazem twarzy kryją się blizny, których nie widać. Przeszłość naznaczona przemocą, upokorzeniem i wykorzystaniem pozostawiła w nim rany głębsze niż jakiekolwiek cięcia mieczem. Do dziś łatwo marznie po przebytej hipotermii, a sen stał się jedynym miejscem, w którym naprawdę potrafi odpocząć - dlatego zasypia wszędzie, nawet w środku rozmowy. Najsłabszy fizycznie spośród Filarów, lecz wciąż gotowy oddać życie za innych, Giyuu nie wierzy, że zasługuje na szczęście. Nie wie również, że los już dawno zapisał jego przyszłość. Bo niektórych więzi nie tworzy przypadek. Niektórych nie da się zerwać. A zapachu przeznaczenia nie da się oszukać.

A found Family au set after the Nezuko conquered the song, A.K.A the end of the wordsmith village arc. Muichiro already used to spend a lot of time hanging around in Tomioka's house secretly until Giyuu realised. They started to spend more and more time together, their lack of words communicating much more than normal communication. Then after Nezuko and Tanjiro suffered such traumatic events, Giyuu decided to let them live at his home. The Kamado siblings and Muichiro slowly bond and then turn to the brother who brought them together and a new family is formed. Nezuko, Giyuu and Muichiro start going through speech therapy with Tanjiro and Tanjiro learns how it feels to have a family again. Basically set during the Hashira Training arc.
