Once it finally comes to a stop, the doors open and there is at least fifty teenage boys looking at her, a surprised look on their faces. What is this place? Why can't she remember anything? Zara will forever be haunted by her last name. The first time she ever fought a Crank is a day that marked history for the world, yet it is unknown. The day she became Subject A0 was the day she lost her father, her twin, and the image of who she thought her mother was. Growing up with her abusive mother and stepfather inside the heart of wicked headquarters wasn't easy. Especially because she couldn't have her memory wiped. She was the first immune. The first factor of the experiment. She will be just half of the spark that lights the fire of the revolution. She's willing to do whatever it takes to make sure people stop suffering this way. And when the day comes that she wakes in the box on her way into the glade, the words of her mother ring through her ears. Wicked is good.

Obviously, anyone familiar with the Maze Runner series knows of A5 or Newt. They also know of Thomas, WICKED, The Glade, The Maze, and so on. But what happened before Thomas came up in the Box? Or in this case what could have happened? So, instead of Thomas coming up its Newt. The morning of the Box's annual monthly delivery of a boy. And a gardener, with ginger curls and emerald eyes, is set the task of showing the Greenie around. In time the Greenie becomes a Runner. But both the Gardener and the Greenie face dark thoughts.
