It is said that with every choice we make, we create a parallel reality where we chose something else. In the world we know, Scrooge Mcduck and Goldie O' Gilt fell in love, but chose to remain apart, playing a game of cat and mouse that would go on for the rest of their lives. However, what if something different had occurred? What if, when it came time for Goldie to decide between remaining with the most honest, courageous, and heroic man she'd ever known or continuing to chase mountains of gold and fabulous jewels, she had chosen the former instead? Past, present, and future turn inside out as the members of the Duck family find themselves in unfamiliar roles, and a new player comes to the stage, bringing along an adventure unlike any other.

An attempt of writing an AU version of Season 1 of my own take on the 'Ducktales Gen Swap' idea. After failing to trick their Uncle Dewey into leaving them on the houseboat while he goes on a job interview, Donald & Della Vanderquack are left with their great-uncle and well-renowned adventurer, Scrooge McDuck. After getting him back into adventuring (and meeting their cousins, Gladstone Gander & Fethry Duck.) Della finds an old painting that seems to hint at the possibility of Scrooge being tied to the disappearance of her & Donald's mother, Webbigail Vanderquack.

DuckTales 2017 is a great show! This is just an AU where things went... slightly worse, and different. Donald is the luckiest duck in the world, but neglects the triplets. Scrooge is stuck... somewhere. Fethry is weirdly popular. Della isn't stuck on the moon, and a gods awful mother. And Gladstone is insanely unlucky! The triplets are thrust into a live with their popular Cousin Fethry, living through adventure after adventure. Now if there wasn't that darned Supervillainous Heinous Usurpers for Shady Havoc, or SHUSH for short, and their enigmatic leader...
